Shipping
Most items ship within Canada and to the United States. Because our pieces are one of a kind — and often fragile, oversized, or unusual — shipping is quoted per item. We pack carefully and insure valuable pieces.
Restricted items. Certain categories of object cannot be shipped across borders, or require permits to do so. This includes some natural-history material, protected species, and culturally significant items. Where an item is restricted, it is available for domestic sale or local pickup only. If you are ordering from outside Canada and are unsure, please ask before purchasing.
Local pickup is available at 341 Ottawa Street North, Hamilton, Ontario — often the best option for large or delicate pieces.
Returns
We want you to be happy with your curiosity. If something arrives damaged or is not as described, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will make it right — a replacement is rarely possible with one-of-a-kind pieces, so this usually means a refund.
Because every item is unique and antique, please read descriptions and study the photographs carefully before ordering. Age-related wear is part of the character of these objects and is not considered a defect. Returns for change of mind are considered case by case.
