Mid 19th Century Hey’s Saw Trephine Neurosurgery Trepanation

The Hey Saw has both a straight and a curved tooth edge for cutting into the skull. The pattern is more than 2000 years old but is named after the eighteenth century surgeon William Hey (1736-1819) of Leeds. Marked I. Stevens & Son.
