A group of eight original gold mining photographs documenting the McConnell Bonanza gold mine operation. Incredible collection of camp life, mining operations, massive sluice runs, hydraulic mining and more. Photographs include three mounted on board and five unmounted. All three mounted photos have inscribed on the negative McConnell Bonanza, with one also identifying the photographers as ‘Kinsey & Kinsey Photo YT’. The five unmounted photographs are identified as being taken by ‘Huey’ as inscribed on the negatives. One is captioned ‘Looking up left fork of iron’, another captioned ‘Waskey Crabtree and Kinzie’s No. 1 Dome’, another is captioned ‘Waskey Crabtree and Kinzie’s Camp No. 1 – Dome – Creek – 1904; An incredible glimpse into the gold rush era! Could be a connection to the mining disaster, the Great Landslide at Frank, District of Alberta, Northwest Territories?
