Rare Colonial bottle mold 1700s

Dating back to potentially the 1700s this is an extremely rare find. As these bottle molds wore out from the heat of blowing the glass into them to form the bottle shape, they were simply added to the fire. This rare example survived the ovens. The bottle was blown by a contemporary artist to better see the shape of the bottles this mold would have produced.
